Develop new creative look for e-commerce imagery, create efficient processes for creative production, produce and execute reshoot of current product photography, increase engagement with new imagery.

THE SOLUTION

Working alongside creatives to revamp the photography of the e-commerce website, another challenge was to ‘flip’ the imagery from old photography to the new photography in one fell swoop. For pre-production, several rounds of test shoots were done to establish lighting, colour and framing. Once established, shooting and retouching guidelines were produced to ensure consistency and clear processes were put in place. From there, a large, multi-photographer, multi-retoucher team was formed to handle the shooting and retouching of the assets. The final challenge was the uploading and trouble-shooting to ensure a swift transition of the website into the new look.

A/B testing revealed that the new creative direction increased CTR by over 60% bringing up general engagement and influencing sales. The new processes increased efficiency in turn around time as well as financial savings. Overall, the project brought in more money to the company as well as saving the company man hours and money lost to inefficient processes.
